If it's Monster Jam, it's time for tailgating

Marshal Ulloa spent Saturday afternoon flipping marinated steaks on a grill made from a sawed-open beer keg with a grate installed.

With billowing skull flags attached to cars and tailgating cookouts, Ulloa and others staked out their territory at full parking lots outside the Sun Bowl on Saturday.

But they weren't getting pumped up for a Miners football game.

The Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam roared into the stadium Saturday, featuring monster trucks Tasmanian Devil, El Toro Loco, Razin Kane and others. The show continues today at 2 p.m.

Ulloa, who took his family to the event for the fourth consecutive year, said the trucks' deafening noise is a major draw.
