Hardware Store 'Re-opens' Outdoor Center

A sign announcing the re-opening of a business may seem out of place in front of a business that never closed, but for Warrenville Paint and Hardware, the sign put residents on notice of some new services at the store.

The store opened its new outside display area, which features an expanded selection of outdoor furniture, garden accessories, plants and landscape materials, Tuesday, according to Monica Giglio, the store’s color consultant.

“We’re pretty excited about all this—we just couldn’t get it together in all the bad weather,” Giglio said.

The store initially expanded in the area between its main building and the building housing the Krauszer’s convenience store next door last year, she said, but customers will see a greatly expanded display in the area that used to be dominated by large pipes and construction material for the store’s commercial customers.
