, Will also include the professional BBQ Cook-Off sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society, amateur ShadeTree cookers competition and the Kids Q competition. The 66 professional cooking spots and 72 Shade Tree cooker spots have already been taken, but there are still a few left for sponsors.

All proceeds benefit the EarlyWorks Museum Complex, which includes Alabama Constitution Village, the EarlyWorks Children's Museum and the Huntsville Historic Depot.

New this year is the Alabama Corn Hole Championship, a 64-team double elimination tournament sanctioned by the American Cornhole Association. You can sign up at www.whistlestopweekend.com .

Other events include the WhistleStop Kid's Q BBQ event which pits children from the ages of 8 -14 in a contest to see who can barbecue the best chicken in North Alabama. All teams will be provided with a barbecue grill, charcoal and eight chicken thighs.
