Brazilian barbeque spot in Harrison soon to have new owner

When Elene Monte Santo takes over the Brazilian barbeque spot in Harrison, she has some changes in mind.

While Euro BBQ, becomes Pipo’s Barbeque, Monte Santo is managing the restaurant, but she’s already changed the menu and the name and is planning for the future.

Owner: Elene Monte Santo, 43, currently manages the store but will take over soon.

What Kind of Business is it? Their restaurant has Brazilian, Portuguese, Peruvian and American food. Monte Santo said one of her most popular foods is the Picanha steak, which is thinner than most American steaks and grilled over an open charcoal pit.

“It’s a different part of the cow,” she said.

Yet, she said, while each population prefers a different dish, every customer bonds over the overstuffed grilled chicken plates.
