March Mayhem winners announced

Kirby was not available to be photographed until later this week, but she'd already seen the results on the contest web site when the Times-Gazette officially gave her the good news. Kirby will also receive a personal trophy and her name will be engraved on a trophy to be displayed at Kincaid Service Company.

Kirby had a total of 346 points in the contest. She ranked 94th out of 103,759 participants in the nationwide contest with which the local contest was affiliated.

The national winner, Jessica Lucas of Platte, S.D., had 360 points. A perfect score would have been 384 points.

Kirby's profile at the contest web site lists the University of Kentucky, which won the tournament on Monday night, as her favorite team.
