GHPD Blotter: Thief Steals Steaks Off the Grill

The following arrest information was supplied by the  Gig Harbor Police Department . It does not indicate a conviction.

Vehicle Prowl: Sometime between Jan. 26 and 27, about $3,000 worth of telecommunication tools and an $800 Dell laptop were stolen the vehicle that was parked in the 2500 block of 60th Street Court NW.

Shoplifting: On Jan. 27, police responded to Goodwill in reference to a shoplifting incident. According to the employee, a couple came in and selected about $100 in food and items. While checking out, the man tried to pay with a Visa credit card under another woman's name that didn't belong to either of them. He said the card was his mother's, but the employee refused to accept the card. Police later learned that the card belonged to a victim from a vehicle prowl in June 2010. Once the couple left the store, the employee placed the bagged items on another counter. A few minutes later, the man returned to the store, grabbed the bags and ran out. The worker said the suspect fled in an unidentified car.
