Be energy smart when transitioning from winter to spring

Spring is just around the corner and that means spring cleaning for many of us. Adding a few extra steps to your cleaning routine can help lower your energy use and save you money.

“This is a great time of year to get your home spruced up and ready for warmer weather,” said Mike Poston, Sangee Cooper vice president of Retail Operations. “Making energy efficiency part of your spring cleaning routine will end up keeping you and your wallet happy.”

Dust off your ceiling fans and stay cool without turning down the thermostat. Using a ceiling fan will help you feel cooler and use less energy than turning down your air conditioning. Just make sure to turn the fan off when you leave the room to help conserve energy.
