Congress set to grill BJP govt in House

Bhopal: The Congress legislature party has decided to raise the issues of corruption, deteriorating law and order situation, farmers’ suicides among other things in the budget session of the Assembly began on Tuesday.

The Congress also pledged to take up the issue of the arrest and judicial remand of Congress legislator Kalpanan Parulekar for alleged charge of doctoring a photograph saying it was a breach of privileges of the House.

The leader of the Opposition Ajay Singh urged his colleagues to prepare well to highlight the failures of the government for the interest of the people of the state. He said the state government did not give reply to the issues the Congress had raised in the no-confidence motion during the winter session of the Assembly.

He said the Congress legislatures would press the government to reply for all those issues raised in the no-confidence motion using different rules and provisions of the proceedings of the House saying “it is in the interest of the state”.
