New restaurants to try

Another day, another mother lode of new restaurants to unearth. Right now the culinary miner can find fresh Mediterranean food, ultramodern Asian fusion from L.A., another restaurant from “Top Chef” alum Brian Malarkey, and even more dining gold.

Bunz: In the shadow of the Days Hotel, this burgers-and-shakes shop comes from chef-restaurateur Jeff Rossman (Terra American Bistro). Grill vapors float through the sunny-colored, simple dining room — perhaps an Angus beef hot dog sizzling on the flat top.
