The original Police investigation concluded that Mr. Taylor died as a result of an accidental fall from the roof of 90 Carden Street. Subsequent information received by the Guelph Police resulted in the investigation being reopened in early 2009 and a team of investigators was assigned to this investigation. This investigation resulted in several witnesses being interviewed and re-interviewed. Investigators travelled to various locations across Ontario, the U.S.A and Eastern Canada in the course of this investigation.
