'Crawfish in the Courtyard' fundraiser March 29
MOBILE, Alabama — Heralding the official opening of crawfish season on the Gulf Coast, the Exploreum junior advisory board will host its 3rd annual “Crawfish in the Courtyard,” the signature Cajun-themed fundraising soirée, at 6 p.m. March 29.
The Exploreum’s “Megalodon” prehistoric shark exhibit will lend an edgy aquatic ambiance to the 2012 adults-only crawfish boil. Local gourmet specialists, including chef Wesley True, have joined forces to provide mouth-watering Cajun delicacies for Mobile’s newest downtown social tradition, an Exploreum news release states.
An event ticket provides all you can eat: juicy, fresh mudbugs, boiled to perfection with fresh local produce and a secret blend of spices courtesy of Jubilee Foods; savory jambalaya by True, owner of True’s Midtown Kitchen; and gourmet desserts by Something Sweet.
