First Drive: Hyundai Genesis muscles up

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Hyundai’s transformation from the minor leagues to title contention in the majors continues with its 2013 Genesis coupe.

!The second-generation of the rear-drive coupe has emerged from the gym with an impressive set of muscles and a new attitude.

Hyundai’s unrelenting success continues. Last year, it sold more than 129,000 cars in Canada — a record.

Hyundai is now the best-selling car brand in the country and the fifth largest overall.

The Elantra was the second best-selling car in the country and named AJAC’s 2012 Canadian Car of the Year.

Enthusiasts took to the Velostar to the extent the factory can’t keep up with demand and the little three-door was named AJAC’s best new design for 2012.
