3:16 p.m. Theft — 100 block of N. 49th Street. The male victim, 55, reported between the hours of 10 p.m. March 13 and 2 p.m. March 14 unknown person(s) stole his Weber grill.

6:15 p.m. Burglary to residence in progress — First block of N. 42nd Street. Officers receive a call of a black male crawling through an open rear window at a residence. On arrival it was discovered that Joshua A. Gayden-Smith, 19, had crawled through the window of his residence. Smith was arrested for an outstanding St. Clair County warrant and was transported to the St. Clair County Jail.
